Dear Wulfy, Jared and Everybody

Here are the essentials of the message I wrote you yesterday:

With respect to your question, Jared:
> What is the exact error message you get from the command-line?
Thanks for this attempt to clarify the problem. At the "command-line" (I
am a newbie - what exactly do you mean with this term?) I did not look.
But at a dialogue window popping up after each attempt to remove or at
least move the folder, I saw something like this: "Error. You do not
have access rights to this location."

However it may be, your message, Wulfy, came in at the same time:

> The way that I would do it would be: Open Konqueror at the Desktop folder. Right-click in the folder (not on any icon) and select Actions/open terminal here .....Then to remove the files (and folder): sudo rm -r hplip-2.7.12

This is the simple, but effective solution I have been looking for about
four weeks .... I exactly carried out this instruction and it worked
perfectly. Thank you very much!

Respectfully Yours,

Bas.
