Switching desktop from keyboard

It works for me.

1.  Did you hit Apply to make it take effect?

2.  Did you save the new scheme?  I found this part confusing, because I
wanted it to have the same name, so I clicked back on default instead of
Custom.  I noticed this wiped out all my key settings.  So I went back and
set them again.  Then I saved the Custom, but kept the same name and
overwrote the old one.
