Common storage for adept_manager

Hello list members!

I am new to kubuntu and would like to configure the adept_manager to
use a common
storage location for downloaded update packages so that all of the
machine located on
my local network can save download time when fetching packages.

I know that the default location for the packages is in:

/var/cache/apt/archives/

Is this hardwired into the program or can it be changed by
configuration setting?

I would like to have all of the packages downloaded to my local nfs
share and then
allow all of the machines to look there for the updated packages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
