Resizing a partition

That is very odd, i am reisizing an ext3 partition as we speak with qparted,
and it works as it
should. Perhaps the reason why some of those programs couldnt resize the
partition is because
you cannot shrink a mounted partition ( so if hd1 is your root mounted
partition, you won't
be able to paritition it within kubuntu  ). If this is the case, i would
recommend using gparted live cd
(http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php).
