Make sure widgets are unlocked first.  The Add Widgets option will not appear 
if Widgets are locked.  If they are locked, you should see an ´Unlock Widgets
´ option when you  right click on the desktop.  If you click on Unlock 
Widgets, a second right click will reveal the Add Widgets option.
