Firefox 3

In a recent thread it was mentioned that Firefox 3 was much faster and 
smaller than FF 2.0.0.11, so I thought I'd give it a try.  Can some 
*please* tell me why I need to install GNOME to run it?  Xulrunner drags 
it in...  Does the Mozilla Foundation have a problem with KDE? 

Looks like when FF3 becomes the standard FF, I won't be running it...  I 
don't want all that GNOME stuff on my computer.
