Well, WLAN is better supported in Hardy Heron thanks to the new Kernel 
which comes with a heavily improved WLAN stack. If I got it right, a lot 
of parts have even been completely rewritten.
Also, the latest NetworManager does a way better job than in the past.

the Kernel mailing list. :)
