Compiz leaves Kicker a mess

Anyone know how to fix this? For example if I boot 3 programs then it
has 3 showing on the bar but if I close 2 then it still shows the 3.
As  I open and close more stuff it gets to be a total mess.

Also it has 3 windows but I want it to have 4 and can't find a way to
change that.
