he doesn't need a password for sudo in the LiveCD.
and the fstab is from the Live CD, i forgot that he can't log to his system.
Juan, can you send the output of "sudo fdisk -l"? it won't give much
info about your mount points, but i would be able to know if you have
separate partitions or one single root partition.
