How to copy ~/.kde from old system to new?

So it would be a good idea to consult the system settings and make a list of
usernames/UIDs and create them in UID order, when I do the reinstall? I am
pressing my Staples button.....many thanx to all for clarification.
When I installed the last time I took the advice from this list to
create /home on a separate partition, just needed to finish learning what to
do for reinstall afterwards.
