Sorry I should have been clearer in my first mail. Simplest way (I 
think) for an ex-DOS hacker:
Open Konsole window
type "sudo nano /etc/sources.list"
comment away the deb:cdrom line with an initial # on the line

Save and try updating/installing after that.
