problems with wi-fi WG111v2 netgear dongle

Hi

I have the wi-fi WG111v2 netgear dongle installed properly on Kubuntu
machine. I have assigned it a static IP address and its able to get into the
network.

But when i reboot my machine with the dongle plugged in, and when the system
is up the wi-fi seems to be dead. Light on the usb dongle does not blink and
it cannot scan any wireless devices.

Is there any problem with the drivers when i reboot my machine with the usb
dongle plugged in?
