I have yakuake hooked to scroll lock and I keep a permanent sudo -i session 
running for all manner of things. I'm also an aptitude user. Can't stand 
Adept!

As for text, vi always gets used for quick edits, but I find it terribly hard 
to code in so I go gui for that stuff.
