You ran the "set" command. You should first have it show all the
available JVMs and then pick one.
cmiller at cmiller-laptop ~> update-java-alternatives
usage: update-java-alternatives [--jre] [--plugin] [ -t|--test|-v|--verbose]
-l|--list [<jname>]
-s|--set <jname>
-a|--auto
-h|-?|--help
cmiller at cmiller-laptop ~> update-java-alternatives -l
java-1.5.0-sun 53 /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun
java-6-sun 63 /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun
java-gcj 1041 /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj
cmiller at cmiller-laptop ~> update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
The output you gave me makes me think that you picked an incorrect
jname. I could be wrong and the problem could be deeper than that,
however, I'd like to rule out the simpler solutions before we start
"real" hacking. :)
