Different results from one install CD: KMenu issues

AFAIK if there are no items in a section eg Edutainment then that is not
shown. I guess the Menu editor has to show every section available so that
they can be edited.
The files are under/etc/xdg/menus - perhaps comparing the laptop to desktop
may give some idea why the menus differ as I can offer no explanation,
