View pictures in e-mail inline?

Not so fast, Dax.  "Distracting and irritating" may be true for 
participants in a support list such as this, but how about the average 
user who wants to share a few pictures of the kids with the 
grandparents?  Should you be the one to destroy hopes of doing so?  
Especially when it's actually quite easy to do with Thunderbird and 
several other email clients?

And to equate spammers and MS Outlook users is just downright rude.  Not 
all users are superhackers.  Many folks are quite content to exchange 
picture email with family members.  It's a good thing when another 
family member switches them to from Outlook or Outlook Express to 
Thunderbird, if only for safety from internet nasties, but the ordinary 
users have just as much right to their view of the internet as you, or 
anyone else here, does.  Stop being an email chauvinist!
