Sometimes a safe bet is a good one, and I am not criticizing your choice here,
but I think that now that you have some more relaxed setting you should take
a look at gparted, and become familiar with that. I am confident you will
find it willing to serve your purposes in the future. I think that it may be
even more tested than the Mandriva tool, due to more users on debian/buntu
and gnome-whatever systems that all have this tool in their repos .
I just think it will be a lot simpler for you in the future to avoid having to
boot another computer with another distro for your disk management tasks. :-)
