Settings pulldown, configure kmail, accounts. You will want to turn off the
rx fetch from your ISP's server, and setup a new 'local account' to read
from /var/spool/user/mail, once you have fetchmail pulling and handing it off
to procmail for processing, then procmail will store it there, and kmail can
read and sort it from there. I run fetchmail as a daemon, scanning the ISP
every 90 seconds since I'm on dsl, and procmail is launched from the
fetchmail to handle the MTA & filtering chores.
I set up two local accounts so I get mail from the local services running too,
like logwatch, cron and amanda. Set the scan interval to something that's
reasonably realtime, I use 1 minute here.
