Realplayer in firefox is quite slow.

Mlayer runs at least some of the Real Player Files.  It might not run 
the stuff that you pay for.  I've found myself going to the Linux 
native products because they are already in by default and the 
programmers are thinking linux from the get go, not trying to take a 
Windows program and readapt it to Linux.

Realplayer settings are unique to realplayer.  The browser plugin reads 
from
the RealPlayer settings last I checked.  I've never had luck with 
RealPlayer.
It's a generally crappy program that I find best to avoid when 
possible.  If
it's not possible, you my want to look at realplayer's support forums 
and
such.
