Here's a question... are you running any wireless cards?  If so, what 
interface are you using?  I'm noticing similar trouble since the move from 
2.6.17 to 2.6.20, and I think it's related to my wireless over here.  Though 
I've also heard of SATA drivers causing this problem, and then there's the 
obvious ACPI possibility.
