I just installed Edgy on a nice new Gateway laptop (MT6451 Notebook PC)
It has an AMD Turion 64x2 processor and a 120 gig HD

The first thing I did was to refer to an old list message I saved on how
to avoid the gui login via:
sudo update-rc.d -f kdm remove

(I'm a startx user, I ALWAYS boot to runlevel 3 Most of the time the
first bash command is startx, But not always)

The next thing I wanted to do was to edit /etc/inittab to say

id:3:initdefault:

But I can't find it. where has it gone????
