Network-manager and dhcdbd

Hello everybody,
I use kubuntu 6.10 and I was happily using knetwork manager until the
Network-manager crashed after resuming the laptop from hibernate.

I tried to restart the Network-manager service with the command
/etc/dbus-1/event.d/25NetworkManager restart

and from that moment I never managed again to have knetwork manager to
connect with my wireless (eth1)

dhcdbd: message_handler: message handler not found under
/com/redhat/dhcp/eth1 for sub-path eth1.dbus.get.reason

It must be some configuration problem but I don't know where to look for.

Note that if I disable the two interfaces in System Settings -> Network
Settings they just get reactivated after the boot.

Any hint?
Thanks a lot,
	G
