I say that running artsd without the default 'Auto-suspend
if idle' hack would make everyone have big problems with
amarok and have no sound in kaffeine.

I say that not running artsd at all, would not make very
much different because up to now, it seems that 'only' KDE
use it. Sure the best would be to make kaffeine and amarok
look for artsd in the first place, and use it to make sound.
But I believe we are in feature freeze right now, and that
it is not a good idea to begin that task now.

Then, the default behaviour which is running artsd with the
'Auto-suspend if idle' hack, I suppose, put people somewhere
between the two previous cases, that is, to have problems
only occasionaly.

My opinion is that never having problems would be
a better default than having problems only occasionaly.
