Application link problem?

Can't you just add a custom command for dealing with this file type in
general (.jar)
e.g. java -jar
That way when you double click on [appname].jar it automatically
prepends the above command...
I'm in Ubuntu right now so I can't recall how this is achieved in KDE
but in GNOME it would be done through the "Open With" tab of the
properties dialog.
