But of course if you try to run X11 apps from there, they will just complain
that there is no X server. I'm not sure how useful that would be in this
case.
I'm not sure what to suggest. Konsole crashing when you try to run apps from
the command line? Good grief! Did you try xterm instead? Did you try
rebooting (which will flush out lots of session files, and purge /tmp)?
All in all though, I'm afraid you might have to rename this user's ~/.kde to
something else, and let the user start with a clean slate, then import config
files from the old ~/.kde one by one to recover important settings. (I can
provide more detail on this if you need it.)
