To Kubuntu, or not to Kubuntu? That is the question!

It´s been 7 years for me, and I´m no programmer, developor or computer
expert.
I was a public school english teacher when I started using Linux,
and now work full-time as a freelance translator.
I do all my work on my Kubuntu box.
Linux feeds my family! (Wouldn´t trust our livelihood to Windopes now
if M$ paid me...)
I built machines from spare parts and took them to school in my last year
as a teacher, loaded with the Fedora based K12Linux, and the students
used them to do presentations, write papers, conduct internet research,
etc.,
and didn´t realize they were even using something different until I
explained it to them.
they had both Mac and Windopes machines in the school, so the children
were already
accustomed to slight differences in OSes.
My 8 yr old daughter has grown up with Linux at home, and my wife has
finally (after
2 years of marriage) converted. I installed Kubuntu for her two weeks
ago, and she loves it.
She was tired of mucking about the virus crap, adware, crashes,
expensive software, etc.
