vmware session

anyone know how i can get my scroll to work on my xterm in my vmware
session? i'm running vmware-toolbox and i've already run the
vmware-config.pl or something like that, but still no dice. i'm not able to
just click on my xterms and scroll freely.

my setup:
running protech linux inside my vmware session (server)
