No. In this case 3.5.5 had never been officially released for Kubuntu, 
from kubuntu project server.

Nonsense !
If the Kubuntu Server officially keeps KDE 3.5.5 for instlling in Dapper 
6.06.01 it is part of the release. 

So nothing is void !

Ergo, keep fixing it !
