how to cache fonts:/System

When I display fonts:/System in Konq, I see nice previews of the
fonts... but the machine seems to recalculate all the previews every
time I display that URL. Even if I open a single font to view it in
more detail and then go back to fonts:/System, it appears to
re-generate the previews from scratch.

Even on my dual-core 64-bit box, this takes forever.

Does anyone know some way to force Konq to remember what the previews
ofthe fonts look like, so it doesn't behave this way?
