Thanks a lot! Now i feel it closer. But i need a little bit more help.

How can i check whether /dev/ttyS0 is the correct device?

I had problems in Feisty, but got it working in Dapper.  Does dmesg
> and /var/log/syslog say it has been recognised?  Make sure /dev/ttyS0
> (or in your case ttyS1) really is the correct device.



Will it serve to me the same ip as you have in your resolv.conf?

I also needed to set resolv.conf manually.
