this isn't gui BUT;

sudo shutdown -h -P xx:xx   (desired time) will shutdown the computer at
a specific time and turn power off

I actually use this at times to listen to streaming radio when I want to
go to bed :-) or when the computer is doing updates etc. and want to
quit without having to come back to the computer.
