You could make a cronjob.

I don't know enough about cron to be able to tell you how to make the
specific time part work, but I do know that simply issuing the command
"shutdown -hP now" will shutdown the machine for you.

If it's done as a cronjob it will shut down (even if the machine is
still in use) unless you make some cool advanced functionality that
I'd have to beat through API docs to know how to make.
