2 question from a newbie

Hi,

I hope someone can answers my questions:

1e question:
On my laptop i have kubuntu (Drapper) installed.
The Adept Manager shows only installed packages and no "not installed" packages.
How can i change this?

2e question:
On startup i have no wireless connection.
How can i change the settings to have always a wireless connection.
