Sound Crackling after installing Nvidia Drivers

Just an idea but on my computer it popped and cracked too until I
started up the mixer and turned down the volume of all the inputs. I
think it was one of the mic inputs that was making all the noise. Just
turn everything down to 0 or off and then turn on only what is needed.
