KDE won't start on one account (Was: LCD Monitor recommendations)

 Yup. That's what I did (and put an old CRT in place of the LCD -- gotta
swap that back today sometime) and it got me going.

The thing I noticed is that one account showed more screen resolutions than
the other, and one account had normal video while the other didn't. Since
there's only one xorg.conf, kde must be storing something somewhere. I'd
still like to find out what and where...
