OK, after 20-30 hours of trying to get ndiswrapper to make the damn wirless 
thingie on that piece of crap work, I have officially lost.  The module 
loads, it loads the driver (tried lots of different drivers, three clean 
installs) but nothing ever works from there.

On the bright side, I did finally get the whole thing into a state where none 
of the kernels boot.

Yay!

Why doesn't somebody make a long ass 500' coiled cat-5 cable?  Here's your 
mobile computing, Bunky.
