3d screen saver

hey all, what do i need to do to get my 3D to work. i see in xorg.conf that
kubuntu recognized my monitor, but i had to adjust the view because it had
it set to 1280x1024 and i have a widescreen monitor that goes up to
1400x900, but i'm trying to get 3D to work. i've looked in the repos, but i
don't see any ATi drivers.

i'm using ATi 9600 DVI and i wasn't able to find fglrx in the repos as well.

any suggestions?
