That depends. If you run the 32-bit version of Kubuntu, then yes it will
work. If you run the 64-bit version then no it won't.
(Yet another reason to stick with 32-bit Linux on on a 64-bit CPU).
I've got an AMD 64-bit CPU and found 64-bit Linux more trouble than it's
worth so I went back to 32-bit (the OS that is, not the CPU).
