xine not playing error

Hi,

I am playing video from a website on konqueror and I get an error 
"player xine not running" error.

There was a bug logged in launchpad (#46174).  The resolution provided 
was to change the video output to X11Shm.  But it did not help in my 
case.  I also get the same error when I run it directly from kmplayer. 
It tried switching from xine to mplayer and got the error "player 
mplayer not running"

Any pointers in resolving the issue would be helpful
