Greetings, i just did a fresh install of Feisty Fawn on an Acer Aspire 5670.
Previously I had Dapper working on here without problems. However, I get the
messages below in my kern.log and syslog files. It might be a kernel bug as
described here (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/81915 ).
I updated the kernel to 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP, but the problem persists.
I'm really just interested in figuring out how to stop this error from
coming up, even if it means disabling the device (a logitech built in webcam
which I dont use) ... but i cannot find any documentation or configuration
file to tell hald to ignore this device ...
Any advice as to how to resolve this ?
Thanks in advance,
Nat
Here's the error message in kern.log:
