vlc display to tv

[uriah heep]

I was able to do this some time ago with an nvidia 7300 card but
unfortunately I am a newb and have not a clue how to do it.  All I can
recall is some how setting up the card for 2 monitors one vga and svga for
the tv. so it can be done even with a cheap video card.
