ATI 8.40.4 driver and Googleearth

Hi David,

Yes, but that is not that weird. As I installed it manually I know what is 
going on, the installer builds a kernel module and installs it but the kernel 
only loads it if you reboot or you load it by hand. That's why just stopping 
X is not enough.
