Xgl + Compiz-Fusion (+Emerald) -- Desktop session recording

I would like to make a video from my desktop session, using some effects (3d
cube rotation, Expo, etc.), and i'm looking for the best application for
this task.

I've tried xvidcap, but it uses so much resources, that my result video was
2-3 fps. I'm looking for something better (like 20-25 fps).

Don't need to have gui, but 20-25 fps is needed ;)

Ofc, It would be great if the output is a well-known format, for converting
issues ;)

Thanks
