Solved: Cannot access local LAN/Router

Thanks to everyone who offered solutions to the local LAN problem. I did
3 things.

- Edited the dhcp3 config, following Lokeey's idea (see previous post).

- Checked kcontrol following Art's idea. The NIC was enabled, but DHCP
was not. I manually set the router IP in kcontrol, which is the default
192.168.2.1, as I had confirmed using a Live Linux CD.

- Ran pppoeconf.

I am not sure if all these steps are necessary, but it has now worked
over several reboots without any manual changes.

Thanks,

Marcus
