Yellow Dog Linux is RH/Fedora based.  I have used it on a G4 iBook 
without problem in the past,
but it has been a while.  I would recommend it for use on Mac/PowerPC arch.
Gentoo also has PPC distro available.  I have seen the liveCD version of 
it in action, but never
attempted to install it.
