From what I can recall, the best thing to do is to install Windows first and
then Kubuntu second.
Make partitions in Windows:
(However you do this is up to you, it might be one drive or over many.)
1. Blank one for Windows
2. Blank one for Linux system
3. Blank one for Linux /home
4. Blank one for Linux /swap (twice size of RAM)
5. A spare one (small) with Fat16/32 for sharing files between them OSs
Then install Windows into the first one. Then boot Kubuntu and tell it to use
the others as / (root), /home and /swap.
Tell Kubuntu install to use the Master Boot Record (MBR) for GRUB and it will
pick-up the fact that Windows is there and make a menu entry for you.
I think that should work.
