Wireless printing

I have a Canon i550 attached to my kubuntu server machine (which runs kubuntu 
dapper). The printer works through CUPS/samba (although the driver is poor, I 
have to reboot to windows to clean the printerhead).

My server is connected to a router which in turn is connected to a wireless 
router. From any machine on my network (including laptops) the printer is 
recognised. I can even print from any machine on the internet...

The only thing that really annoys me about printing right now is the black 
coulour that keeps drying up so I have to clean and deep clean the printer 
head again and again and again (which of course consumes some ink so ......)
