CUPS and Apple

OK...I'm beat. I gave up sharing the CUPS printer with the Apple
upstairs and bought two (2) printer servers, neither of which will work
with Linux.
It can't be this tough. What in the world am I doing wrong??? Ubuntu
should be able to share a simple Epson....
