I have looked into the problem a little further and it seems that "power
saving" is called DPMS. In your xorg.conf file under the monitor section,
there is an option that says "Option "DPMS"". I suggest creating a *backup*
of your working xorg.conf and then comment (use #) or delete all the lines
out that say anything about DPMS. Then add the following lines under the
*ServerFlags* section:
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "blank time" "0"
Option "standby time" "0"
Option "suspend time" "0"
Option "off time" "0"
EndSection
Hope this helps! If it doesn't, you may want to try to play around with any
power management settings in the BIOS.
