Xscreensaver crashes system

Happens to me quite often, yes...
I even think I filed a bug report concerning this (i don't know the name of 
the screensaving application, it is whatever comes with kubuntu). Lately I 
haven't experienced the problem to the same degree - I think there is some 
interaction with powersaving utilities that causes the failures, but I am 
admittedly in pure speculation mode here....
